Ashok Koul, Yudhvir Sethi spearhead Blood Donation Camp in Jammu; over 100 units collected
Jammu, 08 May 2025: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir unit, successfully organized blood donation camps across Jammu, drawing active participation from party workers and the general public. The drive till today, witnessed the donation of blood by hundreds of individuals, while many committed themselves to donating in the near future.

The second day of the camp was formally inaugurated by Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization), J&K BJP. The initiative was spearheaded by BJP Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi and MLA Jammu East, with active coordination from BJP District Jammu, under the leadership of District President Rajesh Gupta.
The camps were strategically held at two central locations—outside Brahmin Sabha and outside Geeta Bhawan in Parade, Jammu—ensuring accessibility and convenience for donors, which resulted in collection of 105 units of blood in two days.
The event saw the presence of several senior BJP leaders including Anil Masoom, Raman Sharma, Sanjay Mahe, Arun Sethi, Ajesh Sharma, Harvinder Singh, Anuradha Sharma, Preeti Sharma, and many others, who contributed to the camp’s organization and outreach.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Koul emphasized the urgent need for creating a robust blood bank system in the region, especially in light of recurring cross-border tensions and shelling incidents that result in civilian injuries and casualties. He urged people, particularly BJP activists, to view blood donation as a critical social responsibility and a patriotic duty. “The current unrest along the border has created a stressful atmosphere for the residents. In such times, we must stand together and ensure that adequate medical support, particularly in the form of blood, is available to all those in need,” he said.
He further reiterated that a BJP worker remains ever-ready to serve the nation, both in times of peace and in times of crisis, underscoring the party’s unwavering commitment to public service.
Yudhvir Sethi, in his address, praised the enthusiastic participation of donors and highlighted the safety and medical benefits of donating blood. “Blood donation is a simple yet powerful act that saves lives. Modern medical practices ensure the process is completely safe, and the human body replenishes lost fluids within a few days,” he said. He also lauded the team of medical professionals and volunteers for their dedication and efficient management of the camps.
Meanwhile, BJP District South, under the leadership of District President Naresh Singh Jasrotia and in the presence of MLA Ch.
