Surjit Slathia, Arvind Gupta holds public darbar at BJP headquarters

Jammu, 01st May 2025: In a proactive step towards addressing public concerns, J&K BJP Vice-President & MLA Surjit Singh Slathia and J&K BJP Secretary & MLA Arvind Gupta held a public darbar at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from numerous deputations representing diverse sections of the society.

During the public darbar, dozens of deputations presented their issues and demands related to key sectors including Police, Revenue, PHE, PDD, PWD and other Departments to share their respective grievances especially about the road infrastructure, the upkeep of lanes and drains, street lights, ration cards etc.

The leaders patiently heard each grievance and immediately took up the matters with the concerned officials of various departments. They urged for time-bound redressal of all genuine issues raised by the public.

Speaking on the occasion, Surjit Singh Slathia emphasized the party’s role as a responsive and accountable political organization. “We are committed to serving the people with full dedication. Our responsibility does not end with elections; it is a continuous duty to stand with the people, understand their problems, and ensure effective solutions,” he said. He added that the overwhelming trust shown by the public in BJP reflects the party’s credibility and commitment. He added that such outreach efforts will continue on a regular basis to ensure consistent engagement with the public and delivery of timely solutions.

Arvind Gupta said that the party is working with the vision of providing the basic amenities and the benefits of public welfare schemes launched by the Modi government to the needy in line with the mission ‘Antyodaya’. He said that inclusive development remains the cornerstone of BJP’s governance model, ensuring no section of society is left behind, irrespective of caste, religion, or region.
