7 vehicles impounded for transporting illegal mining material in Bandipora

In a proactive move against illegal mining activities, the Bandipora police conducted a targeted operation, resulting in the seizure of seven vehicles laden with illicit mining materials.

The crackdown took place in Sumbal, where six vehicles were intercepted, and Ajas, where one vehicle was apprehended.

The authorities took action under the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act (MMRD Act) in collaboration with the District Mineral Office, Bandipora.

The police have taken the vehicles into custody, and further action is being initiated against the offenders.
