5th National Conference on Recent Trends in Mathematical Sciences Concludes at SMVDU

REASI, March 23: The 5th national conference on “Recent Trends in Mathematical Sciences” (NCRTMS) concluded at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra.The conference was organized by School of Mathematics.  Invited speakers from various reputed institutions of the country deliberated on recent trends in Mathematics, and had fruitful interaction with the young researchers. Prof. D. S. Hooda, Former Pro-Vice Chancellor, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra was the chief guest at valedictory session. Prof. Hooda applauded the organizing team and the delegates for organizing the conference in the excellent manner. 

Prof. Anil K. Vashisth, Chairman, Department of Mathematics, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra motivated the research scholars and delegates to learn the novel methodologies and their inception in their research work.  Prof. Rashmi Bhardwaj, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi highlighted the importance of visualization of Mathematical concepts and their implication in industry 4.0.

Dr. A. K. Das, Coordinator of the conference highlighted the outcomes of the conference. Dr. Surender Singh, Coordinator of the conference received the feedback from the Young participants from various institutions and SMVDU about the conference. All participants were highly satisfied with the overall learning experience at NCRTMS-2024 and aspired to be part of the future events at SMVDU. Dr. Kuldip Raj, Head, School of Mathematics and Convener of NCRTMS briefed about the new program B.Tech (Mathematics and Computing) which is commencing from the session 2024-25.

Prof. V. K. Bhat, conference chair of NCRTMS guided the volunteers and organizing team for shaping up the overall organization of NCRTMS.  Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Organizing Secretary of NCRTMS proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. Sandeep Bhougal, Organizing Secretary of NCRTMS, Dr. Sunil Kumar and Dr. Nitin Bisht were also present at the occasion and smoothly handled the proceeding of the valedictory and other arrangements.  All research scholars staff members of School of Mathematics were also present during the sessions and contributed in the successful organization of 5th NCRTMS at SMVDU.
