5-day training programme under PM Vishwakarma for women concludes at Govt Polytechnic Chanderkote

RAMBAN, MARCH 11: Government Polytechnic, Chanderkote, Ramban proudly announces the successful conclusion of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, Tailor Training Batch, a pioneering initiative aimed at empowering skilled artisans and promoting self-reliance in the apparel trade.

The training program was conducted at the P.M. Vishwakarma Centre, at Government Polytechnic, Chanderkote under the Skill Development Department fostering entrepreneurship among the women candidates of district Ramban thus moving ahead towards women empowerment.

The training batch comprising 28 enthusiastic women candidates embarked on a comprehensive journey to enhance their expertise in the art of tailoring.

Over the 5 days training programme, the trainees received hands-on training, theoretical knowledge and practical insights from the seasoned NSDC certified trainer.

The final assessment after the five days training was also conducted by an external NSDC certified assessor duly appointed for the purpose. The curriculum covered a wide range of topics, including cutting, stitching techniques, garment finishing and entrepreneurship skills besides the use and integration of digital technology in improving the business operations.

The training was conducted under the overall supervision of the Principal of the institution Er. Vivek Mahajan and HOD (E&C) Er. Pawan Kumar (SPOC Vishwakarma Scheme).
