4 gamblers apprehended in Bandipora, stake money and cards seized

In a crackdown on illegal gambling activities, the Bandipora Police arrested four individuals in the Zalpora Nowgam area. The arrests were made based on specific information received by the authorities.

According to the police, “Acting on credible intelligence, a police team from Nowgam Police Post apprehended four persons who were engaged in gambling activities. Stake money and playing cards used for gambling were seized from their possession.”

Following the arrests, the police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the law at the Nowgam Police Post, which falls under the jurisdiction of Sumbal Police Station.
