3rd camp of “Doctor Apke Gaon Mai” held at SDH Atholi Paddar

780 patients examined, 360 lab tests, 65 Ultrasounds conducted, 18 PwDs examined for UDID Card under comprehensive medical Screening Initiative

KISHTWAR, JULY 22: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Devansh Yadav today presided over the pioneering initiative “Doctors Apke Gaon Mai” – a comprehensive medical screening services initiative here in the Sub District Hospital Atholi-Paddar.

The camp was organised by Health Department, in collaboration with Social Welfare Department and District Administration under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer Dr. M.Y.Mir, BMO Paddar Dr Anil Kumar to provide comprehensive medical screening services to the local people.

In parallel, the Social Welfare Department, in association with ALIMCO, also conducted an assessment camp and provided aids and appliances to Divyangjans (Persons with Disabilities) under the AIDP Scheme. the camp was held under the supervision of District Social Welfare Officer Zubair Ahmed.

As many as 780 persons were examined at the medical camp by Specialists including Gynaecologist, Physician, Civil Surgeon, Paediatrician, Opthalmologist and Dental Surgeon of District Hospital. The patients were provided free of cost medicines with 360 free lab tests, 65 ultrasound of pregnant ladies. Further, 18 Persons with Disabilities were examined for UDID Card issuance.

 The three-month-long “Doctor Apke Gaon Mai” initiative is designed to address the healthcare needs of underprivileged communities with focus on people of remote areas who lack access to adequate medical resources.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC Kishtwar said that the primary objective of this initiative is to bridge the healthcare gap between urban and rural areas, with an emphasis on reaching the most vulnerable populations who face limited access to medical resources.

Through regular visits in the past three months, “Doctor Apke Gaon Mai” has provided comprehensive healthcare services, including general health check-ups, diagnosis of common ailments, and the provision of vital healthcare advice, he maintained.

He further said that the noble effort aims to make a lasting impact on the lives of underprivileged people by bringing healthcare services directly to their doorsteps.

He informed that next camp would be held at Suid Dachhan on August 02, 2023 and urged the people to come and avail the benefit.
