35th National Road Safety Month: MVD Anantnag, Police organise Awareness programme on Road Safety

Defensive Driving Awareness Programme held at Harnag Anantnag

ANANTNAG, JANUARY 17:  In continuation to National Road Safety month, Motor vehicle Department (MVD) Anantnag in collaboration with Traffic and District Police today organised a traffic awareness programme at Taxi Stand. 

The programme witnessed a huge gathering of participation of NCC cadets of district as well as commercial drivers. 

The main aim of the programme was to sensitize the participants about importance of road safety and how to become a safer road user.

Later, over 1,500 pamphlets were distributed to commuters and around 500 sticker posters depicting road safety slogans were distributed among the general public and also pasted on four-wheelers and two-wheelers.

Meanwhile, MVD Anantnag also held an awareness programme  on Defensive Driving for the prospective applicants who had come for seeking Driving Licence Test at Trial Ground  Harnag Anantnag

On the occasion, as many as 120 applicants took an oath for a safe driving lifestyle on the occasion.

Assistant Regional Transport Officer Anantnag,  Dr Mohammad Zubair Lattoo  delivered a lecture on defensive driving.
