3 held for drug peddling in Kulgam; 9 Kg Poppy Straw recovered

KULGAM, 10 March: In a major breakthrough against drug peddling, District Police Kulgam apprehended three drug peddlers on Friday.

As per prima-facie, the three have been identified as Bashir Ahmed Khan resident of Matipora, Nisar Ahmed Khanday of Nippora & Pawan Sharma of RS Pora AP Nippora.

It is learnt that 9 Kg of Poppy Straw, one weighing machine and mixer have been recovered from their possession.

A case under the NDPS Act has been registered, and further investigation is taken up by Police in this regard.
