2339 cases settled at National Lok Adalat Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, May 13: In Compliance to the directions of Jammu & Kashmir Legal Services Authority, National Lok Adalat was held today here under the Chairmanship of Haq Nawaz  Zargar  (Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Udhampur).

As many as seven Benches were constituted in the District to settle the cases. The Bench included Haq Nawaz  Zargar  (Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Udhampur), Dinesh Gupta, Addl. Distt. & Sessions Judge, Udhampur  and  Adv. Sanjeet Kumar. The Bench – 2  comprised  Manoj Parihar, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Udhampur, Vishal Bharti, Distt. Mobile Magistrate (T), Udhampur and Rajesh Gupta Advocate. Bench -3 comprised Slahuddin Ahmed (Sub-judge, Special Mobile Magistrate), Udhampur & J.D Slathia, President, Bar Association Udhampur; Bench no. 4 consisted of Maleeka Sharma (Munsiff JMIC) &  Bhanu Bhasin, Additional Special Mobile Magistrate, Udhampur and Adv. Shallu Khajuria. Bench no. 5 consited of Sub Judge Raj Kumar (Chairman TLSC) Ramnagar and Advocate K.D. Sharma (Lawyer) TLSC Ramnagar, Bench no. 6 included Madhu Sharma (Munsiff JMIC Majalta) & Adv. Mohan Lal Gupta. Bench no. 7   Rekha Sharma (Munsiff) JMIC Chenani and Adv. Balwan Singh (Panel Lawyer) Chenani.

  A total number of 2800 cases pertaining to different nature were taken up, Out of which 2339 cases were settled. The total Amount recovered is Rs. 2,81,53,331
