15 litres of desi liquor seized in Reasi, FIR registered
Reasi Police, under the supervision of SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma (IPS), conducted raids in the Chassana and Tejar areas to curb the sale and production of illicit liquor.

During a search near the residence of Kernail Singh in Chassana, officers seized several items used for making illegal liquor, including two plastic buckets containing 15 liters of Lahan (desi liquor), two tin drums, a small steel box, plastic pipes, empty glass bottles, refining cloth, and plastic materials.
A case (FIR No. 18/2024 US 48 (e) Excise Act) has been registered at the Chassana Police Station, and an investigation is underway.
The operation was led by Inspector Ranjeet Singh Rao, SHO P/S Chassana, under the supervision of SDPO Mahore Ajaz Choudhary (JKPS).
SSP Reasi stated that the police are working on a comprehensive strategy to eradicate the social evils of illicit liquor and drugs from the district.
