15-day Dharti Aabha Abhiyan being launched in Kishtwar from June 15
KISHTWAR, MAY 15: The District Administration Kishtwar, under the aegis of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, is all set to launch a comprehensive campaign “Dharti Aabha Abhiyan: Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camps.

The campaign will be conducted from 15th June 2025 to 30th June 2025 across the tribal villages in the district.
The primary objective of this campaign is to ensure saturation-level delivery of key government entitlements and welfare schemes to the tribal population, particularly in remote and underserved areas.
During the campaign, dedicated camps will provide on-the-spot services including Aadhaar Card Enrollment and Updates, Ayushman Bharat Health Card Issuance, Caste Certificates, PM-KISAN Registration and Opening of Jan Dhan Accounts.
A key focus area of the campaign would be to raise awareness about Sickle Cell Disease, with provisions for on-site screening and testing as part of the Ministry’s national initiative to combat the disease in tribal communities.
The “Dharti Aabha Abhiyan” also aims to address critical developmental gaps in tribal villages with a holistic approach.
The initiative will emphasize access to safe and sustainable housing, Availability of clean drinking water, improved sanitation and healthcare infrastructure, enhanced access to quality education and nutritional support, reliable electricity supply, including promotion of renewable energy sources, development of better road connectivity and telecommunications and Support for sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The District Administration calls upon all stakeholders, including government departments, civil society organizations, and the tribal community, to actively participate in this transformative campaign aimed at inclusive development and empowerment of tribal populations in the region.
