Series of activities on day-4 of Sewa Parv 2025 across Bandipora

BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 20: On day-4 of Sewa Parv 2025, a series of community-focused activities were organised across Bandipora district by various departments and institutions.

Schools, students, and teachers across the district actively participated in plantation drives, awareness sessions, and other activities, ensuring wide engagement and community involvement.

Department of Cooperatives conducted cleanliness drives, plantation activities, oath-taking ceremonies, and tug-of-war events to promote teamwork and cooperative spirit among citizens. Municipal Committee Sumbal carried out sanitation drives at rivers and bus stands, plog runs, door-to-door awareness campaigns on waste segregation, and distribution of cloth bags to reduce single-use plastic.

Similarly, cleanliness drives were held at WSS Zonipora Asham and WSS Shadipora, under the PHE Sub-Division Sumbal, emphasising source-level waste management.

Educational institutions also actively contributed to the celebrations. College faculty and NSS volunteers of GDC Bandipora visited Government Girls Middle School, Aloosa, where they conducted interactive sessions and distributed stationery items to students.

Forest Department, in collaboration with NCC cadets and PCC Bandipora, organised a plantation drive at Government Boys HSS Bagh Bandipora. WUCMA carried out a cleaning drive at Kanibathi Spring, removing around 20 kilograms of plastic waste under the Sewa Parv initiative.

The day-long events under Sewa Parv 2025 once again reflected the spirit of collective responsibility, with communities, educational institutions, and government bodies working together to promote environmental stewardship, social awareness, and sustainable practices across Bandipora district.
