SDM Mendhar conducts extensive tour of remote village Sangiote; Takes stock of development works

Inspects schools, health centres, NABARD road project; Assures steps to address issues faced by villagers

POONCH, MAY 26: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Mendhar, Jhangir Khan, along with the officials of the Public Health Engineering (PHE), Power Development Department (PDD), Public Works Department (PWD), Naib Tehsildar Bhatadureian and other concerned officials conducted an extensive tour of the village Sangiote.

This village is located in one of the remotest areas in Block Balakote of sub-division Mendhar and is geographically isolated.

During the tour, the SDM inspected various development works, schools, health centres and the construction work of a NABARD road involving project cost of Rs 3 crore.

The SDM said that it is a crucial road that will significantly benefit the people of the village. It will not only improve connectivity but will also provide better opportunities for economic growth.

The officials also took stock of the people’s sufferings and impressed upon the concerned officers/officials for early redressal of the same and submission of action taken report within given timelines.

The SDM and the officials were made aware of the various issues faced by the people of the village, and they have assured that necessary steps will be taken to address these issues. They have also asked the officials to submit a report on the actions taken within the given timelines.

The SDM and the officials have reiterated their commitment to the development and welfare of the people of the village. They have assured that they will leave no stone unturned to ensure that the people of the village get all the necessary facilities and amenities.
