PSPS Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar organized Workshop on AI Literacy and Cyber Security
Jammu, Nov 15: The Department of Commerce, PSPS Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Cluster University of Jammu, organized a one-day workshop on “Yashoda AI” focusing on AI Literacy and Cyber Security in collaboration with the Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD), Chandigarh Chapter, Directorate of Extension and Outreach, CLUJ and Future Shift Lab, New Delhi sponsored by NCW, New Delhi.


The workshop aimed to promote awareness among students about the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, its ethical applications, and the importance of cyber safety in the digital era. The Department of Commerce extends its heartfelt thanks to Prof. K. S. Chandrasekar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu, Prof. Geetanjali Rana, Principal, GCW Gandhi Nagar, and Dr. Shafia Saleem, Director, Extension and Outreach, University of Jammu, for their continuous guidance, encouragement, and support in organizing such an informative and contemporary workshop. Their motivation and leadership continue to inspire the Department to undertake meaningful academic initiatives.
The workshop featured two eminent speakers — Dr. Shahid Mushtaq, Vice Chairman, ISTD Chandigarh Chapter and Ms. Riya from Future Shift Lab. Dr. Shahid Mushtaq delivered an enlightening address on the growing relevance of Artificial Intelligence in education, business, and governance. He emphasized that AI literacy is essential for today’s learners to stay competitive and responsible in a technology-driven world. Ms. Riya, the resource person from Future Shift Lab, conducted an interactive and practical session on AI Literacy and Cyber Security,
