DECC Samba organises Mega Job Fair, awareness camp

SAMBA, June 10: District Employment & Counselling Centre Samba today organised a mega job fair, in which large number of youths, representatives from various companies and government departments participated. Assistant Director Employment, Sulakshana Thakur, inaugurated the fair in which 168 youths had registered.

Companies like Godrej Agrovet, Devan Modern Beverages, Kandhari Beverages, Fair Deal Motors, LIC of India, SBI Life and others were part of the job fair. On spot interviews were conducted on the occasion by the participating companies and many job applicants were shortlisted and selected also.


Calling the job fair as medium for all stakeholders to interact at a common platform, administration samba, has exhorted upon the educated unemployed youth to get registered with DECC to avail such opportunities. AD Employment while speaking on the occasion said that the main purpose of the fair is to provide jobs to the unemployed youth of the District in private sector.

Government departments also participated in the fair and create awareness on various self-employment generating schemes.
