CEC LAHDC Kargil reviews status of implementation of projects under KREDA
KARGIL JULY 13, 2020: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan who is also the Chairman of Kargil Renewable Energy Development Agency (KREDA) convened a meeting here today to review the status of the implementation of various projects by the agency under the Capex Budget 2020-2021
Executive Councilor for Social Welfare Aga Syed Mujtaba Mosavi, Executive Councilor for Works Mubarak Shah Nagvi, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil and Vice Chairman KREDA Baseer ul Haq Choudhary, Project Director KREDA Kacho Ahmad Khan, Chief Planning Officer Kargil Abdul Hadi, District Treasury Officer Kargil Muhammad Hanif Tantray, Accounts Officer to DC Kargil Ajaz Hussain besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.
Project Director KREDA informed the meeting about the works proposed to be executed during the current fiscal for which the LAHDC, Kargil has allocated Rs 2 Crores in favour of the agency under the Capex Budget 2020-2021.
The schemes proposed among others include establishment of SPV Water Lifting Pumps/SPV Lights for water scarcity villages at a cost of Rs 60 lacs, high tech greenhouses at a cost of Rs 25 lacs, face-lifting of KREDA Office at a cost of Rs 30 lacs besides the establishment of Energy Centre in the district, Operation and maintenance of Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) Units (SPVs), Recurring Care Cost of Small Hydro Projects (SHPs) at a cost of Rs 5.00 lacs each.
Several other issues with regard to the functioning of KREDA like the supply of power from Sangrah and Chillung SHPs to the Power Grid, signing of Power Purchase Agreement with PDD J&K for revenue generation by charging of power tariff for around 10 MW power generated from the hydro projects of KREDA, maintenance of projects, salaries of engineering and office staff associated with the project besides other issues came up for thorough discussion during the meeting.
