CEC Feroz Khan takes stock of electricity restoration works from Sodh to Silmo

Inquires about restoration of essential services post recent snowfall; directs to restore power supply



KARGIL, OCTOBER 28: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today visited various villages from Sodh to Silmoo area in order to take stock of the works pertaining to the restoration of essential services post recent sudden snowfall.

The CEC was accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil Tsering Motup, Executive Engineer Power Development Department (PDD) Altaf Hussain besides other concerned officers.


The CEC took stock of the ongoing restoration works of the damaged HT electricity line at Silmo village that has interrupted the electricity supply to the villages from Silmo onwards.

CEC Feroz Khan gave instructions to the concerned officers to restore electricity in the region by today evening. He further enquired about the supply of electricity in other adjacent villages.

CEC Khan also directed the officers accompanying him to be responsive to the public issues, and take adequate measures to address their issues especially related to the restoration of essential services including electricity, water supply, ration, healthcare, and other civic amenities.

Meanwhile, the CEC also met a number of public delegations and enquired from them about the availability of essential services like water, electricity, and road connectivity. He assured them that all required measures are being taken to address their issues in a timely manner.
