BJP distributes Ration among the needy

JAMMU January 14: Bharatiya Janata Party Jammu & Kashmir led by its General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul distributed dry Ration among the needy at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

BJP NEM Priya Sethi, Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi, General Secretary Sunil Sharma, Office Secretary Tilak Raj Gupta, Neeraj Puri, Ajay Gupta, Jyoti Devi, Dr Makson Tickoo and others were also present on the occasion.

On the occasion, around 200 Ration kits carrying Rice, Flour and other essentials were distributed among the needy persons.

Ashok Koul while distributing the dry Ration amongst the needy greeted all on the pious occasion of Makar Sankranti. He said that Makar Sankranti is considered a day of happiness and prosperity. It is believed that taking a bath in the Ganges and other Holy Rivers on this day will be auspicious.

He said that “Surya Dev” is specially worshipped on this day as gratitude for blessing us with warm and glowing rays. It is our tradition to help the needy with the essential items on this day, he said while distributing the dry Ration items.

Koul added that with the same spirit, high standards of public service in every field have been set by our people’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi under whose leadership every needy person is being taken care of. “In the Covid period, no other country in the world has such a food security scheme which will take care of food for everybody”, he added.

Koul also said that BJP activists from J&K always carried on their duty to serve society under the programme “Sewa Hi Sangathan” and “Feed the needy”. He said that during the whole Covid marred period, BJP activists never rested and served the society working on the front foot just like a soldier.
