Army provides Books and Stationery items to students at Patrara village district Rajouri

Jammu, Aug 05: Indian Army has been relentlessly working towards the upliftment of the weaker sections of society through many Sadbhavana projects. One of the focus areas has been to provide quality education to Below Poverty Line children of the region.

To promote education amongst the poor people of the society, Army provided books and stationery items to school children from BPL families of village Patrara in District Rajouri (J&K) under the Sadbhavana project.

It has been observed with concern that the children studying from poor families are forced to quit studies due to financial constraints for school fees and expenditure towards study material.

The joy and enthusiasm was quite evident on the faces of the students on receiving the study material. Indian Army has assured continued support and guidance to their families in future also.

The teachers, students and Villagers dignitaries appreciated the continued efforts of the Indian Army in addressing the genuine needs of AWAAM especially those below the poverty line. Large numbers of villagers were present during the function.
