Army organises Medical cum Veterinary camp at Mori area in district Ramban

Jammu, Jule 02: Indian Army in its efforts to reach out to the underprivileged sections of society in the remote areas organised a Medical and Veterinary Camp in the Mori area of Khari Tehsil of Ramban district.



Medical and Veterinary Camp was organised to provide medical facilities to the local population and their domestic animals. An Indian Army Medical Officer and a Lady medical officer alongwith civil Veterinary doctors and a team of nursing assistants from the Army treated approximate 265 people including 125 ladies and 25 children.



In addition, approximately 96 cattle were also provided with elementary medicines by qualified veterinary practitioners. The medical team was voluntarily assisted by locals, Anganwadi workers and youths from the local QRT. During the day-long camp, the prime focus was to render medical assistance to maximum local residents of these far-flung areas.

The Medical and Veterinary camp was organised as a humanitarian initiative by the Indian Army which brought the much needed medical requirement at the doorstep of villages of Khari tehsil. The local populace appreciated the efforts by the Indian Army and responded by expressing their gratitude and desire for more frequent medical camps in the future.
