Army organises COVID vaccination camp in district Rajouri

Jammu June 12: In consonance with “All of Government” approach to tackle the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indian Army in collaboration with local health authorities conducted an awareness and vaccination camp at Youth Club, Palma and PHC, Dehri Ralyot in District Rajouri (J&K).




The aim of this event was to spread awareness and vaccinate dependents of serving soldiers. The awareness drive focused on addressing the myths associated with vaccination including imparting knowledge on probable side effects. The importance of vaccination was explained to dependents.


The two-phase programme included an awareness drive conducted in which the Medical Officer motivated the dependents for getting vaccinated and explained the benefits of the same.



In the second phase, the Indian Army in collaboration with PHC, Palma and Dehri Ralyot, conducted Vaccination Camp for the local population above 19 years of age.


The dependents of serving personnel expressed their gratitude towards the Indian Army for the Awareness Drive and Vaccination Camp. A total of 305 dependents were vaccinated. This joint initiative of the Civil-Military agency was highly appreciated by dependents of serving personnel.
