Jammu, July 10: Indian Army organised an Amity meeting at Mendhar in District Poonch (J&K) to educate and sensitise the rural populace residing close to Border areas.
The Amity meeting acts as a platform wherein problems being faced by the villagers and specific requirements with respect to basic amenities are brought forward to improve the quality of life.
The relevant issues pertaining to peace and development in the region were discussed. The meeting was also a platform to educate and motivate people for vaccination against COVID-19.
The issues of development of the area and its people to include infrastructure development, social welfare, education, religious harmony and propagation of precautionary measures against COVID-19 pandemic were discussed.
