Army organises Amity Meeting at GHS Nambal in Poonch


Jammu May 06: To foster peace, communal harmony and prosperity in the region Indian Army organised an Amity Meeting at GHS, Nambal in District Poonch (J&K).


GHS Nambal is a small village near the Line of Control where the people are facing various challenges every day. The participation of a large number of locals from all community itself was an indication of social harmony existing in the area.




Interaction with member of the society helped in identifying day to day problem being faced by the local people and specific area where the Indian Army unit could assist them.



The villagers were informed about the current rising COVID-19 situation in the region and the precautionary measures they should take to keep themselves safe. They were also guided on the registration process for the third phase of vaccination via www.cowin.gov.in application.


The villagers praised the efforts of the Indian Army during all hours of their need. They expressed their faith in the Army and requested for such events in future. A total of 35 locals attended the meeting.
