Jammu, July 03: The upsurge of the COVID-19 pandemic has hit all parts of the Nation and has caused unprecedented damage. In continuation with the efforts to foster peace, communal harmony and prosperity in the region, Indian Army organised an Amity Meeting at Daraba in District Poonch (J&K).
Due to ongoing restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the said meet was organised through video conferencing. Participation of local Opinion makers, Sarpanches and Numberdaars representing all communities in the video conferencing was an indication of the seriousness of the locals towards the prevailing threat.
During the conference main focus was the precautions and vaccination of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the teleconference, the locals were educated about the online procedure to register themselves for the third phase of the vaccination drive via cowin.gov.in Application.
The meet was virtually attended by 12 Civilians from all the neighbouring villages. All attendees appreciated the efforts of the Indian Army and showed enthusiasm towards their participation in Govt initiatives against COVID-19.
