Admin books violator for obstructing public officer discharging COVID-19 duties at KBR Airport
Leh, April 29: Keeping up the strict enforcement of COVID-19 protocols, the District Administration Leh today booked a case against a resident of Housing Colony for his unruly behaviour with the official on COVID-19 duty at the KBR airport.
Similarly, in charge of the COVID-19 Command Centre and the District Surveillance team inspected 16 households in Maneytselding, Nimoling, Bus Stand, Housing Colony Quarter, Housing Colony A and B block, Bomb Garh, Choglamsar and found eight people violating quarantine rules. DDMA Leh has initiated action against these violators.
Meanwhile, the concerned magistrate has imposed a penalty of Rs 10,000 against the owner of a bus for an incident of COVID-19 protocol violation in public transport. The Special Squads also collected a sum of Rs 6000 from COVID-19 protocol violators in and around the Leh market.
DDMA Leh has issued strict COVID-19 protocols for COVID-19 sampling, quarantine of passengers arriving in Leh by air/road and other SOPs, including gatherings. DM Leh appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration to follow the SOPs and has warned to initiate strict action against SOPs violators.
