74th Martyrs' Day observed with two minute silence in Rajouri

RAJOURI, January 30: To pay homage to freedom fighters on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary, District Administration Rajouri today observed 74th Martyr's Day across the district.




Notably, the day is observed to remember the sacrifices made by freedom fighters in the struggle for India’s independence and to pay respects to them.


On the occasion, all the district officers of Rajouri district gathered at one place and observed a two-minute silence and paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters.



DDC Rajouri, Vikas Kundal; ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir besides other district officers and tehsil officers of Rajouri were present during the event.


Similar prayers were reciprocated at the sub-divisional levels where government officials and civil society members observed silence for two minutes as a mark of respect for the martyrs.
