Nitin Nabin appointed BJP National Working President
New Delhi, Dec 14: The PWD Minister of Bihar and MLA Nitin Nabin has been elected by the Bharatiya Janata Party to take over as the party’s national president, succeding JP Nadda. The announcement was made after the party’s parliamentary panel cleared his name. At the age of 45, Nabin is among one of the youngest leaders to assume the top organisational position. Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with senior BJP leaders congratulated him Nabin, while noting his long administrative experience and continuous rise through the party ranks.
Nitin Nabin, who made his entry in the Assembly in the year 2006, following the death of his father Navin Kishore Sinha, who was also a senior BJP leader has then since secured successive victories with sizeable margins. Over the years, he has handled key organisational charges and functions, including roles in the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and as party in‑charge for Chhattisgarh and Sikkim. His elevation also marks the first time a leader from Bihar will head the BJP at the national level.
