Mega Medical camp organised at Gandhi Nagar Hospital
JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 17: To mark the launch of Swasth Nari Sashakt ParivarAbhiyan, a mega camp was organized at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar to provide specialized healthcare services to people The camp started with the live streaming of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi’s address, wherein he emphasized the need for healthy lifestyle and regular interval checkup of females under Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan. The focus of camp was on Health care of females.
The camp was attended by Member Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member Legislative Assembly Sunil Sharma (Leader of Opposition), MLA Vikram Randhawa and Sat Sharma former Minister.
Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Minhas, Ayushman Bharat Mission Director Ananth Dwivedi, Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, CMO Jammu Dr. Harbaksh Singh, SNO Dr. Harjeet Rai, Medical Superintendent Narinder Bhutiyal and government officials were also present at the event.
A Blood Donation Camp was held, where volunteers donated approximately 25 units of blood. A dedicated team of doctors and paramedics conducted various health screenings, including NCD (Non-Communicable Diseases), HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C, in collaboration with the AIDS Control Society. An Antenatal Check-up was also provided for pregnant women.
Additional healthcare services included hemoglobin estimation to detect anemia, tuberculosis (TB) screening, Nikshay Mitra volunteer registration, and organ donor registration. Over 500 beneficiaries availed themselves of the services offered during the camp.
Furthermore, the Department of AYUSH educated attendees on maintaining a balanced diet using readily available ingredients, promoting healthier dietary habits in daily life.In addition, the Department of AYUSH educated the beneficiaries regarding healthy diet and usage of readily avail ingredients so as to balance the diet.
