LG Sinha clarifies JKPSC exam file controversy; calls social media claims misleading

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday dismissed several social media posts regarding the JKPSC examination as misleading, stating that facts were being distorted. He clarified that the file received on December 2 concerned only age relaxation, not the exam itself, and was returned the same day with a query about the feasibility of holding the exam on December 7 after last-minute eligibility changes. The LG said no response was received even after four days. Reiterating sympathy for aspirants, he noted that the JKPSC issued the advertisement on August 22 and fixed the exam date as December 7, notified on November 6.

Social media posts with regard to JKPSC exam are misleading. Lok Bhavan had received the file on 2nd Dec, 2025 which was categorically related to Age Relaxation only.
