Kerala Bride Plays Chenda Melam Instrument On Her Wedding; Video Goes Viral

A wedding entry is the most important part of a wedding because all eyes are glued on the bride. Everyone in the crowd waits for a glimpse of her. So every bride makes sure that her entry is unique. Some groove to a specific song, others enter on a bike, and a few walk down the aisle with their brothers or family members. 

A bride from Kerala enthraled people with her bridal entry where she walked down the aisle with Shinkari Melam artists playing Chenda melam. It is a traditional Kerala orchestra played at state weddings. In this video, the bride is playing the instrument. Later, her father and groom too joined her and played the chenda and cymbal.

The bride is in a beautiful red saree with heavy gold jewellery in the video. She is wearing a gajra on her braid. She is joyfully playing the Chanda, and as soon as she makes the beats louder, the groom joins in and plays the cymbal. Later, a man in a green kurta is also seen playing Chanda along with her.

The video went viral, and netizens loved the clip. According to some local news, the bride Shilpa is a trained chenda artist, and the groom, Devanand is a native of Kannur. They got married at Guruvayoor temple in Thrissur on Sunday.
