Jharkhand Foundation Day celebrated at LG Secretariat

Leh, Nov 15: Jharkhand Foundation Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, marking the state’s formation on 15th November 2000. The event was held under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative of the Government of India, aimed at promoting national unity and cultural exchange.

The day also commemorates the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the iconic tribal leader and freedom fighter, observed nationally as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.

Shri Naresh Kumar and Shri Rahul Kumar, both serving in Ladakh and originally from Jharkhand, shared insights into the state’s cultural richness, traditions, language, cuisine and tourist attractions. A video message from the Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand, Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, was also screened.

The celebration reflected the spirit of national integration and cultural harmony, in line with the vision of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. Staff of the LG Secretariat, Raj Niwas and guests from Jharkhand attended the event.
