Jammu Police organises T20 Cricket Tournament under Civic Action Programme

JAMMU, MARCH 28: A T20 Cricket Tournament was organised by Range Police Headquarters Jammu under the Civic Action Programme 2022-23. The tournament concluded today at MA Stadium in Jammu district. The aim of the tournament was to promote sports spirit among youth and build healthy Police-Public relations.

32 men’s teams and 3 women’s teams from various places in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts participated in the tournament. DIG Jammu, Shakti Kumar Pathak welcomed the Chief Guest, ADGP Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh.

Mukesh Singh congratulated DIG Jammu for successfully conducting the Cricket tournament. He said that such events may strengthen Police-Public relations and encouraged youths to take part in sports activities and stay away from drugs and bad company.

Shakti Kumar Pathak felicitated the winner and runner-up teams with trophies, medals, certificates and cash prizes of Rs. 25000 and Rs. 15000 respectively. The Man of the Series received a cash prize of Rs. 5000.

The public appreciated Jammu and Kashmir Police for organising the tournament for youths. DIG Jammu, Shakti Kumar Pathak congratulated the winner and runner-up teams. He expressed that Police is committed to boosting sports and youth development activities in the area. He stated that sports activities are important for personality development, positivity, good health and keeping individuals away from negative forces.
