India beat Pakistan by seven wickets in Asia Cup 2025 clash
Dubai, Sept 14: India registered a stunning win over Pakistan by seven wickets delivering an impressive all-round performance in the Group A rivalry of Asia Cup 2025 held Sunday at Dubai’s International Stadium.
Batting first, Pakistan was restricted to 127/9 in the first innings, in which Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets for 18 and Akshar Patel and Jaspreet Bumrah took two wickets each. Shaheen Shah Afridi’s unbeaten 33 runs fought till the end, but could not reach to a competitive score for the team.
In response, India achieved the target in pnly 15.5 overs, in which Abhishek Sharma’s fast innings of 31 off 13 balls and the continuous contribution of Tilak Verma and Suryakumar Yadav. India scored a remarkable win by scoring a finishing score of 131/3.
This victory has topped India Group A and has strengthened its position before the Super 4 phase, while Pakistan will have to win the remaining group match to stay in the competition.
