Disability assessment camp held in Community Health Centre Gandoh

DODA, May 25: To provide door step services to the people, the health department, on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Doda organised a day long disability assessment camp here in the Community Health Centre Gandoh under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The camp was organised under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer, Dr A H Zargar and guidance of BMO Gandoh Dr Ghansham Singh.

People from different parts of the Gandoh Sub–Division attended the camp. A team of consultants provided consultation to the visiting people.

The team of board of doctors comprising Dr Fayaz ul Haq (Consultant Physician), Dr Bishen Singh (Consultant Orthopedic) & Dr Abdul Gafoor (MO MS Ophthalmology) examined around 100 patients who turned up to the hospital for check up & assessment of percentage of medical disabilities.

Arun Singh (Jr Assistant) and Mohammad Umar (DEO) from CMO Office Doda provided their services & support in making the camp successful, along with the staff of CHC Gandoh.

CMO Doda Dr A H Zargar, while giving details about the camp, said that the objective of the camp was to provide multiple services to the people at their door steps, adding that the department will organize such more camps in other Medical Blocks of the District in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the Block Medical Officer Gandoh Dr Ghansham Singh conducted inspection of HWC-Sub Centre Kilhotran and took stock of its functioning.

The BMO inspected different sections of the centre and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patient there.

BMO also interacted with the patients, staff besides public of the area and enquired about the medical facilities being provided to them and sought feedback from the public on a variety of issues concerning healthcare.

Later, the BMO Gandoh also inspected the progress of newly constructed HWC Kilhotran building and instructed the concerned department to complete all the pending work at the earliest to provide better patient care to the people.
