DC Leh Chairs Review Meeting to initiate Mimangs-Si-sJabstogs a campaign for village service

Leh, November 4, 2025: The Deputy Commissioner Leh, Romil Singh Donk, IAS, chaired a review meeting today in the presence of Sonam Nurboo (JKAS), ADDC Leh, Ghulam Mohammad (JKAS), ADC Leh, and Tsewang Gyalson Chief Planning Officer.

The DC Leh stated that, following the dissolution of LAHDC, to strengthen public–administration connectivity, Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) of each Sub-Division were directed to conduct a 15 day outreach drive covering every village to address grievances and saturate government schemes.

The ADDC Leh urged all departments to resolve pending cases at their level and maintain close coordination with SDMs and BDOs, particularly in Aadhaar and Golden Card saturation, infrastructure and telecommunication issues, PMJAY, road connectivity, banking and timely online portal updation.

Emphasizing proactive governance, DC Leh directed SDMs to act as key bridges between the public and the administration, ensuring immediate redressal of issues related to education, health, MGNREGA, JJM and other schemes.

Departments were instructed to depute concerned officers, including ZEOs and BMOs, to accompany SDMs during the village visits. Awareness for benefit schemes such as SIDCO loan schemes and other welfare initiatives will also be promoted during the campaign.

A detailed village-wise schedule of the outreach programme, titled “Mimangs-Si-sJabstogs”, will also be submitted to the DC Office by the respective SDMs. DC Leh further directed the ADDC and ADC to actively participate in the field visits.

The Mimangs-Si-sJabstogs initiative will involve the coordinated efforts of the SDMs of all sub-divisions of Leh district, along with key departments including Health, Education, Public Works (R&B) and other departments. The Superintending Engineers of PMGSY and PHE, Assistant Commissioners of Development and Revenue, Chief Medical Officer, the Chief Education Officer, Headquarter Assistant to DC Office, the Executive Engineer of PHE, and  Assistant Director of FCS & CA, Leh, will also actively participate in the outreach and monitor activities to ensure effective implementation and timely redressal of public issues across all villages.

The meeting was attended by SDMs of all sub-divisions of Leh district, along with key departments including Health, Education, and Public Works (R&B). The Superintending Engineers of PMGSY and PHE, the Assistant Commissioners of Development and Revenue, the Chief Medical Officer, the Chief Education Officer, the Headquarter Assistant from the DC Office, the Executive Engineer of PHE, and the Assistant Director of FCS & CA, Leh and other officials.
