DC Baramulla takes holistic review of RDD Works, other Sponsored Schemes

Emphasizes to achieve 100% saturation in all the designated indicators

BARAMULLA, March 14: The Deputy Commissioner Baramulla,  Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today chaired a meeting with the functionaries of Rural Development Department Baramulla to take a holistic review about the physical and financial progress of works under different schemes and sponsored programmes.

Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla,  Aijaz Abdullah Saraf,  Joint Director Planning,  Mohammad Yousuf Rather,  Assistant Commissioner Development,  Shabir Ahmad Hakak ,ACP, Gulzar Ahmad Khan, Chief Education officer Baramulla Balbir Singh Raina, besides other concerned Officers were present in the meeting.

On the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Development Baramulla briefed the meeting about the current pace and position of works taken under 14th FCA, MGNREGA, ADP among others. He also informed the meeting about the status of different sponsored schemes which includes SBM (G), PMAYG among others.

Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Baramulla also appraised the meeting about the current status with regard to the implementation of SBM-G in the district wherein he gave a brief sketch about the construction of IHHL units and Community Sanitary Complex (CSC) under the said scheme.

After taking a comprehensive review, Dr Syed Sehrish directed the concerned functionaries to work with added zeal and synergy so that all the ongoing works are completed well within the fixed timeline. She further emphasized to achieve saturation in all the designated indicators and exhorted to work in coordination and cohesion. 

The DC also directed to conduct routine field inspection so that constant surveillance is maintained adding that quality of work shall never be compromised.

Furthermore,  the DC issued on the spot instructions to officers of concerned departments to strictly adhere to quality specifications and ensure close monitoring for quality of works.
