Compensate farmers for the losses- Congress

REASI, May 10: Former MLC and Chief Spokesperson JKPCC Mr Ravinder Sharma has asked the government to compensate the farmers for the huge loss of wheat crop and demanded subsidy in the  next maize seeds and fertilizer  besides  arranging fodder mandis.

Mr Sharma conducted three days tour of  sunderbani,Kalkote,Nowshera and was apprised by the farmers about huge loss to wheat crop due to massive 

untimely rains. Besides  affecting the yield, the fodder for cattle will be spolied by the rains.

He said the farmers are worried a lot for the  for the cattle and the government should come to the aid of farmers I’m all those areas of the region where farmers suffered a lot. 

The party questioned the much hyped Fasal Bima Yojna  and said the government should not have any problem in  giving adequate compensation to farmers. 

He also demanded issuing of special seeds for the growing fodder to the farmers to meet the requirements of cattle.
