Cabinet gives nod to 8th Central Pay Commission, panel to submit report in 18 months

The Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the Terms of Reference for the 8th Central Pay Commission. The move sets the stage for a fresh review of pay, pension, and allowances for central government employees. The newly formed panel is expected to complete its study and present its report within 18 months.
