BJP pays floral tributes to Maharishi Valmiki
Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir paid floral tributes to the ‘AdiKavi’ Maharishi Valmiki ji Maharaj on his Pargat Diwas at Party Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Ravinder Raina, President, J&K BJP, accompanied by Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal (MLA), General Secretary, J&K BJP, Rajiv Sharma, former MLA, Balbir Ram Rattan, former VC, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Media Incharge J&K BJP, Ankit Gupta, Incharge Social Media, Sanjay Baru, Prabhari Nowshera, Sunil Prajapati, OBC President, Subhash Gupta, Kulbir Charak and others paid tributes to the AdiKavi on occasion.
Vijay Anand Gill, Vice-President BJP SC Morcha, and Adarsh Jathiar, General Secretary BJP SC Morcha organized the programme.
Ravinder Raina congratulated the people worldwide on the Pargat Diwas of Maharishi Valmiki ji. He said that this auspicious day is being celebrated across the world with religious fervour. He said that being a divine spirit, Maharishi wrote Shree Ramayana before the actual events. He said that the people and especially the youth must take lessons from the life and teachings of Maharishi Valmiki ji to reshape their lives and to promote universal peace and progress. He once again congratulated the followers of Maharishi Valmiki ji and the Hindus worldwide on this great day and asked the youth to follow the path of piousness and Dharma.
Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal remembering the Maharishi Valmiki on his birth anniversary, said that this is also known as the Pragat Diwas or Valmiki Jayanti. He said that the Maharishi was a renowned poet who gifted the world with the great Hindu epic Ramayana. The people commemorate it by chanting Ramayana lyrics at the temples and at their homes around the country, he added.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that this occasion not only honours Mahrishi’s literary contributions but also his profound spiritual legacy.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra said that the works of Maharishi taught us to be always truthful. No matter how powerful the evil is, the truth will still win and we can rebuild our lives from zero.
Ankit Gupta said that Maharishi’s work has had a lasting influence on Hindu culture and philosophy, shaping the moral and ethical fabric of the society.
Vijay Anand Gill said that the teachings of Maharishi direct us to live principled lives and do good to all the living beings on Earth.
Adarsh Jathiar conducted the programme proceedings and thanked all the dignitaries present on the occasion.
