Bandipora villages witness active engagement under Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan
BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 24: Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan (AKA) continues to actively engage communities across Bandipora district through a series of participatory initiatives aimed at empowering tribal populations and promoting grassroots development.
In Kudara and Surindar villages, teams conducted ward-to-ward interactions, village walks, and door-to-door awareness campaigns, focusing on raising public understanding of the Abhiyan and gathering community inputs.
Similar activities in Chandaji included public awareness sessions, formation of the Aadi Saathi Network with equal representation of women and youth, and community mapping exercises to document village resources, challenges, and developmental priorities.
In Block Bandipora (Village Chittibandey), transect walks helped identify village resources and infrastructural needs, while awareness programmes encouraged active citizen participation. The tribal community, guided by the District Level Mentoring Team (DLMT), prepared a Village Vision Map to outline local aspirations. A Seva Kendra was inaugurated to serve as a hub for information, assistance, and community services.
Across Gurez Sub-Division, activities in villages such as Dawar, Badwan, Chorwan, and Khandiyal included door-to-door surveys, community mobilization, and orientation sessions to ensure every household is informed and engaged in the Abhiyan.
The ongoing initiatives under the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan in Bandipora reflect the government’s commitment to inclusive development, empowering tribal communities, and fostering participatory planning at the grassroots level.
