ADDC Shopian presides over Block Diwas at Gagren
SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 15: As part of the ongoing public outreach and grievance redressal initiative of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, a Block Diwas was today held at Gagren,Shopian.
The camp was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian,Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of citizens, youth and representatives from various villages of Shopian villages who put forth their demands and grievances related to basic amenities, infrastructure development,water supply, road connectivity, health,education and welfare schemes.
The ADDC gave a patient hearing to all the delegations and individuals and issued directions to the concerned officers for the redressal of genuine grievances and fulfilment of development demands.
He also instructed the officers to remain proactive in the field and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every eligible beneficiary and stressed upon timely completion of ongoing works and utilization of funds within stipulated timelines.
On the occasion, the ADDC reiterated the government’s commitment to participatory and accountable governance and underlining the importance of coordination between departments to achieve effective service delivery.
Among others, General Manager, DIC, Shurjil Naik, CMO, BDOs and representatives from R&B, REW, Jal Shakti, KPDCL, Agriculture, Horticulture, Health, ICDS and other concerned officials were present during the event.
