ADC Rajouri reviews arrangements for Diwali festival

RAJOURI, OCTOBER 16:   Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri  Chander Prakash today convened a meeting in the VC Room of the DC Office to review and finalize arrangements for the Diwali festival.

The ADC reviewed arrangements related to water and electricity supply, market checking, sanitation drives, illumination of the town and cleanliness around temples and public places. He directed the concerned departments to initiate installation of street lights at dark spots and ensure lighting across the main markets and chowks to enhance the festive ambiance.

Instructions were also issued for installation of stalls at designated areas, deployment of fire tenders at three key locations and posting of medical teams and magistrates to respond swiftly to any emergency.

The ADC emphasized strict market checking to curb overpricing and ensure availability of quality products, especially sweets and other consumables during the festival period.

Among those present in the meeting were ACR Mohammad Jahangir Khan; AD FCS&CA, Rohit Kumar; Executive Engineer PHE, Sudesh Gandotra; Tehsildar Rajouri, Varinder Kumar; AD Fire & Emergency, Yusaf-ul-Umar; EO Municipality and other district and sectoral officers. Prominent citizens from civil society also attended the meeting and shared valuable suggestions for ensuring a joyous and safe Diwali celebration.
